My question would be, how many are filled by local residents looking for work and how many from other States or even other Countries?

The growth is nice, though 46% are paying below $15.00 per hour, but then many jobs do not require skill sets that justify a higher pay.

It's great that more jobs are being created in CA but the fact remains that the COL and housing market is still out of reach for the vast majority of people who live there.

Problem in California is that it has such a high cost of living, prices for homes, rent, taxes, etc., makes it the 5th hardest state in the whole country to make a living.

Predictable post from Old Gloom and Doom.

Look, we're all familiar with your shtick here. Keep at it if you like but we're keeping it real, but since you don't live here, why do you care?

Idiotic statement. How about young people who grew up here who cant see being able to purchase a house unless they get one handed down.

Lets see, if you are young and make 40-50k per year even 60 Its going to be very difficult to buy a home in coastal California.

In my own little circle of friends in the East SF Bay Area all of my contractor friends are looking to fill positions.

The building trades are very busy and ancillary businesses like the supply houses are also looking for staff.

One thing with construction is it seems to be either boom or bust.

I called my local Roofer that does excellent work and has been in business over 60 years... they are scheduling jobs 4 months out.

Auto Sales are also up... especially at my local Ford and GMC truck dealers and many are going out loaded... with MSRP of between 60 and 75k...

Real Estate and Rents continue to increase... so evidently "Some" people have money...
