My mom lives out there and likes it very much. These are mostly the financial district and downtown areas that look like this. The rest of the area is pretty spread out, especially when you go out toward Antioch.

I lived in Concord on and off, for many years and just moved last year. I don't think about it looking like these pictures at all. It is mostly a bedroom community. In the summer it has wonderful free music in the plaza down town. There are lots of parks, including a water park. There is a grate junior college. An extensive shopping mall as well as several strip malls. It is a lot bigger than when I first went there in 1965 but it is still a nice place to raise a family.
