Is anyone else angry about this law in California that allows 15 days...Why on earth 15 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For an evicted tenent to get there personal belongings off your property AFTER the Sheriff comes out to evict them. This is so rediculous because by this time they have already stopped paying rent for about 5 month..had a court case in which the judge told them to get out 10 days ago, had another 5 days notice posted by the sheriff to get out. THEN they have another 15 days..and you even have to feed their animals that they leave behind for those 15 days as you are now no longer a landlord but a State Appointed Forced Custodian of the property of an Evicted Tenent. Now they are not allowed back on the property but YOU have to take care of their belonging, including their animals for 15 DAYS...15 DAYS
ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS AS A DICTATORIAL VIOLATION of OWNERSHIP RIGHTS???????????

No one is forcing you to be a landlord. Just saying.

Why don't you conduct a comparative survey of landlord laws and regulations in 50 states - and then come back with a report on how easy / hard it is to evict tenants around the country.

I had to evict a tenant, they left a lot of junk behind which I threw away. Including a motorcycle partially dismantled and a car. This is the 1st I've heard of this 15 days. I advertised the motorcycle for free in the Recycler come and get it and it disappeared, and someone who new the tenant came and towed away the car.
