FYI - less than 15% of Hispanics residing in California can trace their lineage in the state to before 1910. The vast majority of Hispanics living in the state today are recent arrivals or the children thereof.

you are cherry picking the stat you favor. for example, you lumped the other nationalities into continent but you left Mexico alone as a sole country. at any rate, Mexico, 42K visitors who overstay is 2nd after Canada.

but in the scheme of illegal immigration, that 42k represents only 9% for those who arrived by air or boat (with visas). the bulk is still thru jumping over the fence which Mexico dominates which if combined with those with visas are closed to 50%. so half of all illegal immigrants are Mexicans

Many parts of CA are 3rd world like from a societal point of view. CA has a high number of people both legal and illegal in poverty, below standard education level, and on public assistance.
