Anyone who bothers to read the text of the new law can see what was referenced in a earlier posting here and it is and has been discussed on a public forum/s @ calguns.net. What was posted has has nothing to do with somehow finding ammunition discounted or on sale somewhere

First off, who is "they?" They is no one because the CHP isn't going to waste time searching cars for ammo. People hunt out of state all the time.

For the time being just keep all your ammo receipts from local stores. Especially the old school hand written ones. Throw them in your glove box just in case (ya know ). Learn to play the dems stupid games.
