In Ventura County and Santa Barbara County, Hamburger Habit is the best.

Hazels burgers on 14th between Pittsburg and Antioch makes the best and largest burgers around. They make a challenge burger that few have made it through, it is well over 48 ounces. They are family owned and still operated by the same family. When I visited my family last year, it was the only place that I really recognized from growing up there. I remember Hazels back in 1964 and it had already been around for a while.

There was in a place in Hemet that was great, Cris' Juicy burger, but he sold and I haven't had a chance to see if the place is still any good. Islands does have a pretty good burger, In-n-Out is by far the best quickie burger out there.

In & Out, definitely.
How do they do that? A fresh, crisp, tasty burger at such an inexpensive price???

In-n-out for sure!! Why do you think I'm relocating to CA?

So, once I move to CA, will I be totally uncool for having an In-n-out bumper sticker? It's far more interesting in the Midwest!
