Second for Jalama Burger, they are THE best, a little out of the way though. It was a great drive in my Civic Si!!!!
Also Tom's Take Out in Santa Maria on the corner of Main and Benwiley, had my first one over 20 years ago, the Double Tom Cheese is great!!!!

Not at all. Almost everyone out here has a love affair with In-N-Out.

In-n-out is very good and the best fast food in the world but there is a little burger place just north of Cloverdale. I can't remember the name of the place. It looks like an old run-down roadhouse but the burgers are unreal. If you leave the 101 at the Ft. Brag exit just north of Cloverdale and head toward Ft. Bragg, you'll see it on the right. It's got a rock garden on the side and always has plenty of business.

It's a sit down sort of place and though I'm running the risk of being labeled sexist, the waitresses are not at all hard on the eyes. Even if the servers were giant lizards, I'd still eat there because the burgers really are that good.

There is also a biker hangout Where San Antonio Valley Road turns into Mines road where the burgers are a close second! Another ugly shack on the side of the road. Again I can't recall a name but since both of those places are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, they're tough to miss.

Places that look bad don't have an ambiance to lure people in so they have to have to rely on good food to survive.

Good to hear I won't be a dork keeping the sticker on my car (I'm sure the labradoodle stickers will do that for me anyway). That little red sticker looks really zippy on my sporty red car. :-)

... and I can't wait to wash all that road salt off it!

Fatburger. Thunder Valley Casino near Sacramento.

I believe Fatburger is a franchise of sorts. They are delicious. Cost about $6 bucks with fries.

IN-N-Out are very good too.

Fatburger.

There was this one burger joint in Temecula that I discovered a few years ago. People were eating outside at this place even though it must have been 105 in the shade! It was soon easy to understand why. Their hamburgers were the best I've ever tasted! I think it was "Mad Madeline's Grill", but I can't swear to it.

It doesn't get any better than this:
Bay Area Restaurant Reviews: Val's Burgers

Figures... my first post on a new forum, and it has absolutely nothing to do with anything remotely related to the subject matter.
