They are fighting to keep their voting bloc protected, nothing more. There is literally no other reason to offer entitlements to illegals who are a net negative to the tax system unless you are getting something back, in California's case, lots of votes from illegals and their families.

Stop being so logical. It confuses "them".

You're not registered to vote in California since you don't live here. "Your" elected officials are in another state. Might want to focus your worries about elected officials on the state where you are registered to vote.

Why? Where I live the state is not running a deficit, facing a pension crisis, and does not have an over bearing regulatory structure that takes billions of dollars from residents every year.

I'm a problem solver at heart and I like to solve problems, not brag about successes.

Posting inflammatory threads and filling them with incomplete information often out of context is problem solving for sure!

What is incomplete? I simply posted a UC Berkeley created study that showed that there is not a lot of support for sanctuary city policies across ideological lines within the state of California.

You can question whether UC Berkeley is a credible source for this study, but I have not purposefully hidden any information about their study from this thread.

The truth is, anyone complaining about the study probably finds the conclusions of the study uncomfortable or against their own political beliefs, so of course they complain. That's not useful discussion about a topic however, that's simply crying because someone's perceptions were challenged.

As you could read in all the sources included, nothing has been pulled from any Democrat handbook since it all pretty much exactly is derived from multiple conservative quotes and positions and factual law.

I don't care if you got it from Ronald Reagan's corpse itself, your premise makes absolutely no sense.

California politician's support of illegal immigration is not about "law and order, the validity of the constitution", they are completely contrary to those things.

As already pointed out, all points made are based on multiple conservative positions legitimately sourced and quoted as well as legal facts established through court actions. So if it all makes "no sense" to you then you cant find sense in conservative positions.
