Hello,

I have been searching for a better alternative to the semi large city I live in now. I find it has changed too much for my liking over the past 20 years.

Are all cities going through this evolution?

We are looking for a decent sized city as we are entrepreneurs and need a fairly healthy population to survive.

What search terms would you google for?

We have kids, need schools and parks and recreation. Want to live in a middle class suburb.

The terms I have been using keep popping up realtors websites and we are not yet ready to talk with one until we decide upon a location.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Cheers,

Cruiser

Can't help you on a city without more info. However all cities of any size have changed and will keep changing. The biggest advantage to moving to a new area is you have no memories of it that when you look around now, are disappointing because of the changes. You never saw them

We need more information than that. What part of the country are you looking to settle in? Is weather an important factor for you? What about cost of living? Some parts of California are more expensive than others. Is an outer fringe city enough or is proximity to a metropolis important?

What I like to do is look at a map and start looking at different areas of the state and country that are of interest. If I like what I see, I'll google the city's name and go from there.

The first thing you should look for: How can I legally immigrate to the US?

Well if you're truly an entrepreneur you'd follow the money. So I'd perform extensive market research focusing on the regional need for your products/services, identify a handful of cities where your business will thrive, then eliminate them one-by-one based on your QOL expectations until you're left with a city that [hopefully] still works.

...and then figure out how to legally establish residence in the US.
