I don't think the Gov't here harbors any delusions of a false sense of security there pal. I think it's a pretty real one. Can you tell me the last time the State as a whole rejected ANY type of tax/bond/fee?

I just don't get Democrats love of government. They spend your money so inefficiently, after all it's someone else's money and there is more constantly flowing in, you might as well throw your money out the window.

Pensions (especially those under $150k per year) are appropriate to be paid to those who chose a pension over the much higher salaries they would have been paid in the business world, especially here in the SF Bay Area.

Correct. Everywhere is pretty much the same. Common human behaviors. No, CA doesnt do it more often.

Humm, They do tax a LOT of things some other States do not, but yes people are people. I do see taxes raising in CA each year on different things, more than in other States. Like the ones we are talking about now.
