I heard on the radio this morning that the Democrats added something into another bill that changes the requirements for a recall that makes it impossible. Because the recall effort of one of the Communists that voted for the gas and car tax increase looked like it would be successful. And they would then lose their 2/3rds majority.
This is why there is no hope for California, With one party rule they make rules and laws that insure that they will stay in power forever.
The only possible hope for California that I can see is they continue to raise taxes so much, continue to use your money so public employees live like kings, that the voters finally get fed up and start to vote them out. I'll be dead by then.

yes they are desperately trying to stop the recall vote of Newman. Instead of having a independent separate vote they want to put it off and include it in a general election because they will have more of their uninformed voter base voting then. It'll probably work too

I am hearing right now on John & Ken show 640 AM that if they get enough signatures to put the recall on the ballot Brown can hold up the certification of the signatures indefinitely.

The teacher union is opposing the recall. Since the gas and car tax money is supposed to pay for road repairs only, one has to wonder why this public union gets involved? Most of you already know the answer: the money will be used to pay public employee unions. Now it's clear why they oppose any recall effort. Huge amount of money is at stake here, as a successful recall could lead to a repeal of the gas and car tax thievery bill. If that happens, public employee unions won't get to collect your hard-earned money. In the upcoming weeks and months, they will try to confuse and divide voters with lies. Don't let them. Just remember this: anytime the democrats and public employee unions want something, it's good for their wallet and bad for yours.

And what's the recall about? Not to stop the fuel tax (as some of the signers are being led to believe) but an attempt to deny the Democratic Party a 2/3 majority which is required to pass legislation. It's just what republicans do, OBSTRUCT rather than working for a solution to fix the problems, in this case our roads.
Perhaps rather than propose any fuel tax at all, the state should just let the roads deteriorate to the point we have no roads, just dirt.
It also makes far more sense to have the recall vote during a regular election as it's more likely that more voters will participate.

Since the Republicans cannot do anything to obstruct and have not been able to for years, why haven't the Democrats got things fixed?

Tax after tax has been passed and ............. the roads are worse. Why can't the Democrats get it right? They cannot be obstructed even if that seat were lost as they have a super majority and basically run the State the way they want it and ..................... why have the roads not been fixed?

One party rule is in effect a dictatorship.
