Default slo

I grew up in SLO. Most of the people come to Poly finish school and find a job somewhere else. There is not a big job market in SLO. If you like a small, safe and quiet place that is a college town. Poly is for you. The temps are always in the 70 degrees all year round. You're about 10 mins from the beach. Nightlife consists of bars. During the day there are a lot of outdoor things to do. The town dies out when Poly has a break.

Anybody know where Cal Poly grads end up or know where I can find out? I'd like to go to CP but want to get job offers outside the state, perhaps in Nevada.

Smile USC is in the ghetto...

If you're looking for a school in Los Angeles go for UCLA. While the USC campus may be nice, it really is in the ghetto. You don't go off campus if you go to school there. There are gangs-- my friend was their with his baseball team and they had to wear white t-shirts over their red uniforms because of the Bloods.
Anyway, UCLA, on the other hand, is in Westwood which is directly next to Bel Air, Brentwood, and Beverly Hills, and not too far from Hollywood and Santa Monica. The UCLA campus is beautiful and if you compare UCLA and USC everything from their academics, to athletics, to size are very similar.

Go Bruins!

I can relate man - only another 3 weeks till I'm permanently* out of here (MN)

For example - it's been cloudy everyday for the last 8 days and for the next 7 atleast it will continue

That's 15 days, HALF A MONTH of no sun, and rain and cold wet uncomfortableness IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER!

It's bull****

I hate the midwest can't wait to get out permanently (I was able to intern on shoots and go out to LA through various ad agencies, thus escaping terrible winter for a few weeks here and there)

By the way, UCSD has an undergrad Computer Science program but NOT an undergrad business program...keep that in mind, as you said you were going to study both.
