Hollywood isn't the only industry that blacklists people who don't share their values.
It seems that California legislators will be doing (or will try to do) the same thing very soon to contractors
who put in a bid to build the border wall. Senator Ricardo Lara (D-Los Angeles) says he's going
to put forth a Bill that will allow the state to blacklist any contractor that is involved
in building the wall that borders Mexico and California. He doesn't feel it's right to give business to
anyone who doesn't share California's values. Is this really California's values now? Do as I say or you're out! If so, then this is definitely not the same California I grew up in.

Personally, I'm not in favor of a wall. I'm not in favor of letting illegal felons stay, either. They should be deported. As for all of the immigrants who come here to make a better life, they need to sign up to get their citizenship. Further, I'd like to see the federal government use their time more wisely to achieve this. This crap has been going on since the 70's and we're nowhere closer to fixing it. A wall isn't going to fix anything. But blacklisting contractors who make the choice to do business in this state, even if it goes against what people like Lara want, they should have the right to do without being ostracized.

Probably generate a lot of lawsuits against the State by any Black Listed Contractor. Looks more like a scare tactic.

The CA Democrats have become the new "Brown Shirts" of the 20th century. Using political positions to target and ostracize private citizens simply trying to make a living is about as Fascist as it gets.

Very doubtful that will survive court challenges if passed. It is most likely unconstitutional.

Leftist ideology (Communism, Socialism, etc) is responsible for over 100 million deaths in the 20th century alone. So while I may not agree that leftism is worse than cancer, they are both giant killers of human beings, that is a fact.

I wish the world would get rid of both to be honest.

Speaking of responsibility / irresponsibility. Leftist ideology didn't kill anyone. Despotic madmen did. You have irresponsibly touted this false accusation before.

Despotic madmen put into power by leftist ideology.

For instance, you could act like a mad man, spouting off ridiculous theories, and if no one listens, you're just a harmless idiot.

But a movement based on leftist ideology? That's dangerous.

You're putting the cart in front of the horse. That's not how the world works.

Sorry if I'm throwing sand on your leftist fantasies, but leftist ideologies are great at killing people en masse, and have killed tens of millions. This is historical fact.

Havent got any leftist fantasies. Or fantsies of any kind. Not into fantasies. Also not into spouting stupidities just for effect.

Ideology didnt kill 100 million. Period. If the deaths you cite were a product of ideology we would see some semblance of similar effect in all "leftist" governance. Scandinavia? Most of Europe? California? People like yourself are constantly declaring California as "leftist." Madmen of all kinds have always executed genocides. Movements such as seen in Nazi Germany, Idi Amin's Uganda, and many more are examples of the madness of despots not limited to leftism.

Indeed, there are many accountings of "deaths from capitalism" that - with somewhat similar disingenuity - vastly exceed deaths as you attribute to "leftist ideologies." "Systemic deaths" that result from capitalist policies are extraordinary in number. As seen below the numbers attributed to these capitalist policies alone, without inlcuding other capitalist ventures such as World Wars, Vietnam war, wars in the middle east, and so forth ... are staggering.

Quote:
Genocides and Other Mass Deaths

Poverty. One of the most overlooked causes of death today is something called “structural violence” – that is, violence against the bottom rungs of society in order to make a profit. Structural violence can occur due to lack of medical care, slashing of wages, gentrification, etc. But without a doubt, structural violence is the largest killer WORLDWIDE. Studies performed by Canadian researches Gernot Kohler and Norman Alcock published under the title “An Empirical Table of Structural Violence” found that 18,000,000 people die each year due to systemic poverty [61][62].Attempting the Impossible – Calculating Capitalism’s Death Toll – Peter Says Stuff
The reality is that simply attributing all these capitalist deaths to capitalist ideology is also disingenuous because the ideology itself, as with "leftis ideologies," doesn't prescribe any killing of people as any part of the respective methodolgies. Nor do any of the respective methodologies necessarily result in deaths. The deaths are resultant of separate intentional crimes.

Your accusation lacks even the slightest foundation for logical proof.
