Of course, he won't. He's just a shill for the New World Order and he's got the hoodie to prove it:

Of course once the Politicians see the $$$, they WILL use it for other things instead of what it was originally intended for.

Social Security for example. There was a HUGE surplus of funds. The Bu$h admin decided it was a good idea to use that to fund the illegal Iraq war.

They NEVER paid it back, and a few years later, cried foul that Social Security is a failure. LOL Yeah, after they illegally looted from it and never paid it back.

Obviously, for profit health care is not working.
It's not strange at all. Once socialism becomes the norm, it becomes the standard way of doing business, and no one can imagine any other way--and the people who can are vilified as kooks, crazies, racist, evil, selfish, not compassionate, fill in the blank _______. It's how the Iron Law of Oligarchy works:

Exactly. My sister worked for a non-profit years ago and the CEO (or whatever his title was) was making a fortune while most of the employees had crappy pay and benefits. The focus was all about bringing in enough revenue and keeping other costs low to justify his high salary.

Non-profits are not the panacea so many want to believe. Greed exists regardless of the structure. What tends to keep greed in check is real consumer choice and real competition, which we don't have in health care at all.

We already have that example in Greece. It won't change the minds of true believers. They'll just say "Our country/state is different" or "This time it's different", etc.

I agree with you 100% here. I think we need a new sound byte slogan. FOOD REFORM IS HEALTH CARE REFORM.

Carrots, lettuce, spinach, apples ... etc. even frozen vegetables all can be found in any crappy grocery. Most tuna has no additives ... red the labels on the cans. Sure, fresh free-range chicken and beef would be best, but is hard to find and expensive (though getting easier and cheaper every week at major retailers now ... you can find organics even at COSTCO these days.). Oats are a wonder grain. They are cheap and available even at 7-11's.

Lots of accessible info. Example:

Thank you for saying this. BTW, I make lentils and find I really don't have to soak them, I just boil them for 15-20 minutes. The red ones are done in less than 5, although they are more expensive.

It's amazing how you make stuff up as you go along. SS revenues have never been put into a separate pot. The raiding of SS didn't start with Bush (not that I approve of the war).

But I actually agree with the spirit of your post. The point is, the government doesn't do what it says it's going to do. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, this should be very easy to see. Yet people like yourself are still in favor of more government programs/control. That is what I don't get. You have to understand once power flows to the top, it's never given back (without a revolution). And you admit yourself it WILL be mismanaged.

This is the best video that explains what we really need to do if we want affordable health care. More importantly, it's what we mus do as a society if we simply want to be healthy. It has nothing to do with insurance:

SS had a 2.6 trillion surplus until Bush looted it.

Pay Back the Money Borrowed From Social Security | HuffPost

Bush tax cuts also destroyed the federal budget surplus.

"The federal budget surplus of 2000 quickly disappeared when Bush took office, turning into a sea of red ink. Bush borrowed heavily from the Social Security surplus to help obscure the fact that federal taxes were not bringing in enough revenue to pay for the wars and his tax cuts"
