So I've been offered a job in Hanford that I will need to relocate my family for. We are familiar at all with the area but need to find a safe neighbourhood to live in for a familiy with a toddler. Also looking for good daycare options if anyone has any for the area - this may ultimately decide where we decide to rent.

We've been looking into renting in Hanford or Visalia (so there isn't a lady no commute) would anyone have any advice as to which is the best place for a family? And any neighbourhoods to look at in particular?

Many thanks!

If you're going to work in Hanford live in that area (Hanford/Lemoore). It doesn't make sense to drive 20+ miles to Visalia.

You're right, especially driving 20+ miles in thick fog in the winter. Hanford is kind of a nice little town as valley towns go.

Yeah I was thinking Hanford initially, but the daycare I have found is in east Visalia so wondered whether it would be worth living near there for the better daycare.. decisions, decisions!

Struggling to find a daycare I'm happy with at the moment :-(

In west Visalia even! You can tell I'm not getting much sleep thinking about whether I should make this move or not!

I can understand the want to go to Visalia even though you work in Hanford. Visalia is bigger with more than double the population of Hanford. So certainly there are more stores, things to do etc in Visalia.
