Gawd -- think of all the extra traffic.

A far better solution is to export people. Export, say, 10% of the population and the price of housing will come down.

Nope as the homeless issue is not about what people do not know it is about what some people do not want to do.

There are a couple of basic groups.

1. Homeless due to lack of income and yet they want to work
2. Drug and alcohol abusers
3. Mentally unstable
4. Those who want the "freedom" such a life brings

OK how does educating those who are not in those groups help?

Create a process for easier immigration into the state, tax EVERYONE. Anyone that doesn't want to be here legally needs to leave. Use the money saved and new tax revenue to provide Universal Healthcare, free two year college and trade schools, also boost funding for education. Raising taxes is ridiculous. Cut back on what can be controlled.
First some Red states are run better. However there isn;t any way to tax people to the extent needed without creating more homeless. Yes CA is badly run due to being a one party State. IF it were a One Party Red State the same problems would exist. Oops there are homeless in Red States too and I know I currently live in one. Yes ejecting illegals would help some, but a lot of the monetary problems are related to lousy spending, special interest groups and the Unions. You speak of free this and that, but it is never free. Someone has to pay for it. You give a very6 broad statement of ways, with no explanation on how they would actually be implemented and where the money would come from. Do you really think the current legislatures would do what you want and if not, who (by name) would?

I think you misunderstood my point. I am not talking about educating the homeless in your 4 groups.

I was strictly speaking about educating the voting population. How do you educate Climate Change deniers? How do you educate fundamental religious groups trying to push their anti-science agenda on the population? How do you educate those who are die hard socialists that raising taxes and throwing money at a broken system is not the solution? How to you educate the voters in CA that if taxes are raised they should be raised on everyone and not only the people making the highest salaries?

Neither was I. I was speaking about how do you solve it. Educating everyone else does not change the 4 groups.

Why; they have not learned by now, what makes you think they ever will?

You can't because man cannot change the problem. More people in any area actually changes the climate there. SoCal is a good example, it is not like it was in the 60's and is getting worse.

How do you educate scientific groups that are as blind as fanatical religious groups, Stupidity exists on both sides.

Both sides are wrong and neither side can change as change only really exists when those at the top make a change. The last election showed the voting population as having minimal impact on the power structure.

You can't, because they do not want their taxes raised. They have seen how that does not work. Remember the top 1% pays more than 50% of the taxes raised now. To make a change would require beggaring everyone.

The poor will stay, but those we are talking about are the ones who want to buy a home, thus have a job and are not homeless; and if they can't afford CA, move.

Try to stay on topic.

Guess where a lot of people I work with live. Tijuana. Looks like they found a solution to high housing prices.

Please. The money made from one day of begging could get you a bus ticket out of here. For many that's how they got here to begin with.

Interesting. I never knew pan-handling was so lucrative.

They need tiny homes. Our zoning here in California needs to allow for such. That will help allow people to live within their means.
