There aren't any other cities in those areas, so no.

Brandon, sorry to go off-topic, but David is only joking about living in Trona...right David??

However, if you go there, stay in your car & lock the doors after dark...when the zombies come out.

It is kind of interesting to watch the high school football team play on an all-dirt field...if there is still a high school there. They smacked-down my school.

Well of course, but Brandon was seemingly overlooking other quality of life factors beyond "the cheapest".

I think the people in Chico, Cottonwood, Burney, Weaverville, Dunsmuir, Weed, Mt Shasta, and Yreka would beg to differ. ;-)

Yes, there is still a high school there, Trona High School.

What high school was yours? I'm guessing Boron High School?...

I know I may have asked this before, but just how bad is the summer heat in Redding? I think the SoCal low desert still has Redding beat in that regard.

One night last year it did NOT cool down here in Indio, even past midnight (still above 100°F). Also, on June 20th of that same year, Blythe reached a new record high of 124°F!

Is the summer heat in Redding really that bad? How often can it reach at 110-120°F?

Still positively not as bad as the SoCal low desert or Death Valley.

Shed some light on Redding

A few other old threads come up on the search for Redding.

I like Chico, some people say it is crime ridden, but I don't think it is as bad as they make out, I feel safe walking the streets at night & I am an old lady, the worst I've seen is a college kid puke after too much to drink, & a few homeless.
