The question is for Californians who were raised there, then left and tried to return 20-30 years later.

How do it work out for you and your family?

Was it worth it considering how the state has changed so dramatically in recent years?

I was raised there, left, and have now returned as a part-time resident. I haven't noticed that it's changed dramatically. In what way are you under the impression that it's changed? My entire extended family still lives there, and they love it. It's still a beautiful state. A bit more crowded in parts than before, but it still has a lot going for it. Perhaps you could clarify what your concerns are, so that we can address them.

I was born and raised in California, I moved to Reno & lived there for 14 years and moved back 3 years ago. I love California even with it's warts and wrinkles I can't imagine living anywhere else. I have not noticed any dramatic change, if anything it's better, crime is definitely down from what it was when I moved away in 1999.
