Just my two cents
Well, no, that'd be just one cent and not two.

I hope California progressives show us just how patriotic they are. I am so anxious to see how dig they deep. Oops, that was sarcasm, because, well, we all know they are only loose with other people's money.

Guy you have to give this a chance. Kevin De Leon and his Democrat buddies have had a long history of very sound fiscal decisions for the state of CA. He wouldn't lie.

Any one see a chance that the limitations on the SALT deduction -- which I fully favor since the lower rates and AMT largely cancel out its impact -- will actually spur CA tax or pension reform?

Anyone who thinks this a feasible idea is clearly an idiot.

First of all, if taxes are donations, then they are voluntary and nobody has to pay them. Good luck with that.

Secondly, the state is basically a charity, but its more like a thief that gives away other peoples money. The state isn't giving away its OWN money, because it doesn't have any - it has only the money it steals from citizens.

You guys need more faith in progressive Democrat ideas. Donating money to help children and undocumented people is worth it.

Lulz. Its always for the kids.

I say we give all the "undocumented" a document that says "I'm here illegally and know that I'm squatting and breaking the law". Then they are no longer undocumented! Because they will at least have that document!

They identify as documented. So they can't be undocumented.

The ONLY people paying more in taxes are wealthy people. I thought California loved taxing the rich? Afraid they will leave California for the surrounding lower taxed states? That's the point of tax reform the US was afraid capital was leaving the US for lower taxed countries. Why not just lower your taxes? None of this makes sense, it pretty much exposed tax and spend as a fraud.

They pay 1/2 of the taxes now. Those below them pay the rest. Far more not rich than rich.
