Moved this to the California forum so you can get better advice. Mods, if there is a sub-forum this would fit better into, go for it.

Shhhhhh! You may not want that information to get out. From pictures you once posted, it looks lovely, but the QOL there would change if too many people were to "discover" it.

And housing prices would go up and with more cars the air would get worse and traffic and .... ultimately you could become another OC.

Even in the inland valley, the homes are $600K and the condos are $400K if you want a decent area.
Sounds affordable to me.

You must live in Memphis.

Yep, grabbed it from Mexico.
Who grabbed it from the Indians as the Spanish conquered it. Then intermarried and you have Mexico not the Aztec Nation.

Of course CA is more expensive but it also has a higher GDP and a better QOL than Mexico so it was a good thing overall.

*Bitter, attention-seeking, out-of-state, little trolls of relatively limited means would have an almost total breakdown as they are then priced out of both OC and Mr. 5150's area.

"SOLUTION": Spend even more time on C-D with an almost messianic, and perhaps grandiose, zeal to convince the world that neither place is a paradise (Forget that no one living there believes it to be). Talking out of both sides of one's mouth is sometimes part of the MO.

OUTCOME: Popularity of, and prices in, both places would continue to move independently of the troll's silly rants.

*I know that some trolls can afford OC and other areas of CA.

Also, the obsession that some of these out-of-state trolls have with CA is bizarre. Asked about it, perhaps some would rationalize and say they still have businesses, family and friends in CA; thus, a duty to troll.

Yeah, it makes sense for a small business owner to live thousands of miles away from his "multiple" businesses. But, hey, hiring a few undocumented or homeless people to mow lawns for him and maybe pickup cans, could be counted as two businesses right there.

Add a few simple online businesses like an Ebay store, rating tunes, and something else, and he's golden.

Too bad this same hypothetical and chronically envious person would still be priced out of most of coastal CA.

You wonder where the MAX and or Ceiling will be. A point where even people with money will think to themselves, “The homes are finally ridiculously overpriced!! “. Even though this has been the case for years now in SoCal.

Tiny shack, bar windowed homes in shambles, being sold for $500,000+. Why?? Who thinks that’s a “deal”, “smart” or a “good” price??

The compromises everyone is making just to live in CA biggest cities has become a joke. Sure you might think buying that POS run down 1920’s craftsman house in the heart of the ghetto might be “cool”, but then you have to deal with the areas surroundings and all the horrendous traffic day in, and day out which L.A. and OC is known for.
