I heard that during duck hunting season in Colusa County it is hard to find hotels or lodging available. Anyone know if this is true since my husband is planning to do some hunting there this year? Any advice?

I like to rent dozens of rooms in the area and house wild ducks. Keeps the ducks safe and keeps the non-local hunters away. Kills two birds with one stone...so to speak.

Book it out early. Just find out what blind/preserve he'll be using and book it in advance.

You can always try this place: www.colusacasino.com

Probably lots of motels along I-5.
