What you said about the state dumping parolees in Lake County may have been true years ago, but it hasn't been the case for the past 8 years. We moved from Santa Rosa to Clearlake 5 years ago and our home has over doubled in value. It was a big change from Santa Rosa but after the initial shock ...we really do like it hear. Clearlake has gotten a bad rap. There have been improvements in the past 5 years.

It's very helpful to get these updates! Thank you for contributing. Were you there during the last fire a few years ago, or was that before your time there?

We moved to Clearlake in Dec. 2014. Five months later the Rocky Fire (first of several fires) hit. We had to be ready to evacuate at any time. It turned out that we didn't have to evacuate then or for any fire since. We have been fortunate so far. Summers are our least favorite season living here. It is very hot and it is fire season.
