I can’t find the article I read last week but driving by an In-N-Out this morning just 2 hours ago reminded me of the article and how true it is. The lines are absurd day and night. I always end up just parking and walking to wait in line on foot. The service is faster aswell.

My question to you is, do you find your local INO facility to be jammed up to to where it creates even more congestion for normal traffic flow?

Oh yeah. That's why I never attempt to eat there at prime meal times. It's crazy how busy they get. They can't even operate the way they are designed. As soon as they open they have to cordon off areas of the parking lot to change the way traffic would flow through. Then they station people outside to take orders.

Every In-N-Out consistantly has a line. Most back up into parking lots, but I've seen a few that back onto a street. Reminds me of parents picking up kids at school.

The one near me always has a long drive-thru line that extends onto the adjacent surface street, causing some traffic issues. That's one of the reasons I haven't gone to an In-N-Out in about a decade. I'll just go to either Carl's Jr. or Jack in the Box if I want a hamburger.

Our local one is always jammed up too. However, I've never found that going inside is any faster. Always a long wait when I do that as well.

Still you have to admit that both inside and outside are extremely well run. When I lived in California our in an out payed higher wages than all the other fast food places. They mostly hired a lot of the high school kids and boy did they hustle. They earned the higher wage.
All the other fast food places hired Hispanic older workers, many full time.

I don't think that was the question. In&Out has been discussed here and the quality many times on here. Overrated is a matter of opinion. Obviously more like it than don't or the parking lots wouldn't be jammed all the time.

Maybe they have never tasted better food, or that's all they can afford?
