It seems like those native Californians who moved away to places like Texas and Arizona for more affordable housing found their expectations to be unmet for whatever reason and are now flocking back in masses. They still can not afford to live in their dream house/neighborhood but this time the difference is they’re buying small condos next to the beach or city centers.

In other words, they’re more realistic in their options and they’re live in lower quality of life conditions to take advantage of the location location location.

Player, you have to provide a source.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if there were some truth to that. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

I thought that he used sarcasm very well to show that the grass isn’t always greener.

Regarding the topic, I know lots of millennials that have moved away, but very few that have moved back.

This article about this cohort moving is from two years ago, and it doesn't mention millennials ever leaving the state....just relocating within it to more affordable cities.

Forget SF, this California city is where Millennials are moving, study says: https://www.sfgate.com/expensive-san...n-12973230.php

Maybe he got confused. But congrats to Sacramento (and San Jose), but that doesn't help his statement.
