Yup... it was like that old South Park episode, "Douche vs Turd." I didn't like having to choose between two unattractive options, but I also didn't want to throw away my vote. Time for some change on both sides!!

I can’t stand the liberal politics here but one thing we all have to remember is that these crazy people (to me) running this state didn’t overthrow it. They were voted in, so it’s the will of the people. Just remember that because if Newsom gets in, taxes are going to skyrocket.
Meh, I'm not that worried about taxes. They're already pretty high, and promises in the other direction (the Trump tax cuts) haven't panned out either... so I doubt it will change that much, at least not for those of us in the middle class bracket. And if they do, I'm still going to favor most of the other liberal-type policies. In other words, that one issue alone wouldn't be enough to sway me to the right; at least not for this election, since I/we have ulterior motives.

I hear ya. No one is changing anyone’s mind on these boards. We’re basically a bunch of gorillas thumping our chests at each other.

Not one word on the homeless epidemic.
I don't care for the guy, but he's had planty to say about the homeless problem.

The SF Chronicle story was pretty generic. There really was nothing specific. The other story from April mentioned that he felt an overhaul of Prop 13 may be in order. I think that’s going to be one of the first things they try, depending on what happens with Prop 6 in November.

the Indian IT Workers enjoy the stench of SF, as it reminds them of home. They complain heavily however of me wearing Chanel No. 5. Go figure. Glad they can't yet vote. at least not legally.

What I care is he's already said he wants to raise taxes, keep the bullet train to nowhere. Keep us a sanctuary state and welcome all the illegals he can. Turn our health care to socialized medicine. Chip away at prop 13. Not one word on the homeless epidemic. Basically be Brown x 100 because he dosn't have the brains or will to improve anything. Correct me if I'm wrong Newsome dosn't get down to so cal very often and won't do debates so I'm even less clear on his platform then I was on Hillarys. But let's vote for him because he hates Trump
good post! But to add to your list, I recently viewed a video of him saying his goal was to extend free health care to illegals. That alone is reason enough to leave this state when he gets into office. I'm planning now if the gas tax repeal fails and if Cox looses to this loser. I pay taxes, but I don't care for:

Open borders
Easy on crime
the mighty pen to sign in quasi taxes without voters voices
silly expensive projects such as the trillion-dollar high-speed rail
No mention of the filthy homeless situation stealing our public recreation areas

who would vote for this man? If he gets in, I refuse to live here. When he runs us taxpayers out, who will foot the bill for all his causes?

what are our existing gas taxes going for? I WANT TO KNOW WHAT MY GAS TAX AND MY CAR REGISTRATION TAXES ARE GOING FOR. WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN GOING FOR FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS???

We need TRUMP AS GOVERNOR to straighten us our and hold these thieves accountable.

but sounds like on here that Gavin will be our next governor and that's the worst thing that can ever happen to our once great state, unless you're an illegal hoping to ride the gravy train for a democrat vote.

this is me trying to fight the good fight, however, after November, I'll be watching the fall from afar.

I agree with most of your post but Trump as governor??? Just wearing a MAGA hat in this state will likely get you assaulted.
