I will not argue with that, especially given that every damn bond measure passed yet again.

And for the record, I support a more representative government rather than one that's overly democratic and allows just about anybody to vote. Or at this point, we'd be better off with a wise and benevolent dictator, such as Caesar Augustus, Vespasian, or Trajan rather than a government with common people voting for their own financial ruin.

You know how to read, yet you keep being deceived by that Politifact article on diversion of the gas tax toward non-transportation projects. It even includes bar graphs and pie charts.

Benevolent dictatorships are the best, most efficient form of government. The problem is: limited inventory of qualified benevolent dictatorship ... and imposters.

I am baffled that anyone other then the public servants and unions would vote NO on 6. Why would anyone trust a govt that raises our gas tax & registration without even asking ? Keep in mind brown raised our registration 10.00 just a few yrs ago. The democrats now have the super majority (2/3) so they can raise taxes and do whatever they want now. Also its a shame volunteer firemen are not in ca anymore. Those are the real mccoys who aren't greedy & selfish. I would volunteer in a heart beat. Helping people without expecting anything in return is reward enough. The capt of the fire station in wildwood & 5th street has a salary of $109k plus Cadillac benefits & pension. The majority of the time they are either eating, watching shows & movies on big screen tv while sitting in fancy recliners or taking 3 hr naps. You could also find a fire truck or 2 parked behind the gym (fitness 19, 3448 Yucaipa blvd) next to stater bros on Yucaipa blvd. They used to park in the front lot until people (tax payers) started noticing.

The repeal failed. We could keep biatching and moaning but that won’t do anything.

Time to close the thread.

Its odd that anyone would believe a governor & legislature that raised the gas tax & auto registration without the approval of the tax payers. Liars, thieves & whores in the state capital. My registration is the same as a neighbor who drives a 2007 Toyota. I drive a 85 olds. $121.00. UGH!!!
