So, we've already addressed the issue of money being diverted for other causes, from what I've researched.
Yes every time there is a gas tax there is a bill that goes along with it that says the money can't be diverted. And every time they find a way around it.

Oooo bar graphs and pie charts! Well it MUST be accurate in that case!

If it shows gas tax being diverted, it is accurate.

Trump's tax bill raised my taxes, I don't recall being allowed to vote on that.

Gas tax yes, vehicle registration, no. Vehicle registration is considered a fee, not a tax so they have the right to do it. As for the the gas tax, no. It goes against everything written in the California Constitution and especially Prop 218 from 1996. Trouble is, many people in this state don't bother to read exactly what is allowed and what isn't.

I just hate that in the past few yrs my car registration for my 85 olds has jumped $38.00. It is disturbing. As for the gas tax, welcome to ca.

My friend in co just renewed her registration for her 2004 car. Her registration fees were only $70.00. Mine are $51.00 more & my car is 19 yrs older. This sickens me.

Every time you buy gas remember it could be 12 cents a gallon cheaper if there weren't so many stupid voters here that voted against 6.
And for what, your money down the bottomless black hole of goverment.
