That’s a BIG NO on 6. Already payin the gas tax. We’ve adjusted. Roads are being paved and will continue. With more and more people in California, espcially the Bay Area, the public transportation needs upgrading. Better public trans, less cars on the road. The tax can only go to roads, infratructure and public trans so it won’t be filtered to other things. But all folks see is less tax, yes let’s do it. Meanwhile ya payin a bunch of maintenance on ya car that the road is tearing up.

NO ON 6...

Yes, let's do it. YES on Prop 6. Less tax is what working families desperately need.

I am hoping there is a system where the tax rates are pegged to inflation and will not exceed inflation in any way.

I am surprised how the govt employees are fooling the voters to vote no. I don't appreciate my car registration jumping 28.00 when it was only 55.00 in 2009. I drive a old car & 121.00 a yr is absurd. YES on 6. We as residents & tax payers of ca MUST send a strong message to the governor & legislature. WERE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE. YES ON 6.

I'm just sick & tired of the state raping me. Voting YES on 6 will put them in their place. The state of ca is #1 in state income tax, sales tax, gas tax & auto registration. Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of those.

Highest on income tax, gas tax, and auto registration. Sales tax depends where you live in California. Some areas are the highest and some are not.

Um. California has the highest possible bracket for income tax ... but we have a multi-tiered backeting system ... so only individuals earning over about $500,000 annually hit the high rate. Average earners in California pay lower rates than a number of other states.

So, this is silly. Unless you are a top earner. And if you are, just pay up and shut up. You have nothing to complain about.

Brian Rice, President of the California Professional Firefighters, says

“Prop 6 will make road conditions worse and jeopardize the safety of California drivers. Furthermore, in an emergency, every minute counts -- so safe and well-maintained roads help ensure that first responders can arrive at the scene quickly and save lives. "

If Prop 6 passes, it could delay response times and makes our roads less safe.

Vote NO on 6.
