Well let me jump on this band wagon.... I would most certain have a home in San Diego (Carlsbad area) to be near my kids/grandkids, missing them really bad right now And I would want one @ Big Bear or Tahoe alsofor when I get tired of the KIds/grandkids.

If money was no object I would raise my own army, kick everyone out of the state, and have California all to myself.

Fun topic!
I'd want a home off West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz overlooking the ocean... and since some of us are talking multiple homes, maybe a condo in Costa Mesa or something. Then again, I haven't been to Ojai yet to experience that "pink moment". I may end up "exchanging" Santa Cruz for that one! LOL

Somewhere with jobs, good schools, and no traffic. Jobs means Job A and a plan for Job B. For me, probably somewhere between El Segundo and Irvine. Seal Beach? Huntington Beach? (I want a job not for money but because I like feeling productive and enjoy the company of other employees and most of the time I like what I do.)
This thread is a challenge at reality....reminds me of a story about the Lakers about 20 years ago... Someone asked a bunch of the Lakers what they would be doing if they weren't playing basketball (and making millions) for the Lakers. (I forgot the exact answers but it went something like this.) Norm Nixon: "I'd probably be an investment banker...",
Keith (Jamaal) Wilkes "I'd probably be a lawyer...",
Lew Alcindor (Abdul-Jabbar) "I'd probably be a history professor...",
....and so on....
Finally they asked Magic: "Sheeeet, I'd probably be working the assembly line at GM...."

Venice & Santa Monica
Venice (in California) and Santa Monica are exciting, pleasant places. I've lived here for 30 years. Everything you need.

After taking Middlefield home to Redwood City last night, I changed my mind. I want to live in one of those great big palatial mansions at Middlefield & Marsh in Atherton. Gawd it's beautiful there.
