BTW saw workers installing brand new guardrail on Interstate 8 in east county. Not replacing damaged but brand new where their never was any. Much appreciated as it separates the freeway and Old Hwy 80.
Yeah, there's tons of construction going on in SoCal right now!

There is plenty of work being done to 405 in OC looks to be 2 more lanes being added

Add more lanes! No bullet trains to nowhere!

That is exactly what should NOT be done.

Every freeway in SoCal could be widened to fifty lanes in each direction. Would not provide anything more than very short term relief.

Exorbitant tolling.

THAT'S how you fix it.

Yeah, I wonder if they are widening the portion of the 405 in OC before the 22 winch is already 18 lanes. Maybe they'll widen it to 22 lanes. lol

Widening freeways won't reduce congestion. Do you have any idea how dumb sounds.

The bullet train will also not whelp congestion. How many people could even get to station, let alone find it, taking them from the IE to LA to work? How many daily commute from the central Valley to SF, LA, SD? It will be no help at all so more roads or wider roads will be needed. OH, you could put in more commuter passenger trains in LA, OC, the IE, SD etc but where will you find the land, the stations and wait that would probably slow it down more.

Repairing existing roads will be a good thing for those who can afford to stay, but it will not solve congestion at all.

The only viable solution is to seal the CA borders and let no one in and help the middle class leave so the rich and poor can enjoy the State.

There's never going to be an end to the "little extra" you're asked to pay year after year. And for what? Weather that's a bit nicer than some other places?

You're going to have to pick up the slack from the "little extra" that we declined to pay by moving out of the state. Enjoy!

Maybe he is a public employee who gets to enjoy that "little extra" 'cause that's what the "little extra" is for.
