Default Paid Family leave

We have a dispute ( friendly) over in the Jersey Forum regarding paid family leave as NJ just passed this to start in 01/09

As California has had this for a few years was wondering how most felt about it?
Have there been many instances of fraud?

My husband and I took PFL in 2005 after the birth of our daughter.

It was six weeks and the employer had to grant it so your job was secure. It was similar to unemployment in that we had to pay both federal and state taxes.

The pay wasn't equal to the pay that you would receive had you been working it was a certain percentage. I don't remember how much.

I didn't have it when my first was born, but did with my second. What's not to like? 6 more weeks with some pay. I've never heard of any fraud associated with it.
