Default Relocating to Stockton area/ Need Info ASAP

Hello there,
I am looking at a Job offer in the Stockton area and would like to gain as much intelligent information on it as possible.

I am used to areas such as Detroit , Huntsville, Anchorage and other large cities that have the BAD as well as the GOOD... so that does not frieghten me off...

What I want to know is where others that actually live there currently ( not 5 years ago ) would choose to live if they had a choice...around that area...?

What towns are maybe outside of Stockton no more then a 30 minute drive into the city that possibly would be a better location then Stockton itself....?

If you have photos you can post of the area and its current state... I would appreciate that to.

Thank you and I hope that you can help

You should look into Tracy or Lathrop which is about 30 minutes from Stockton. I live in Tracy, and Stockton is pretty run down (in my opinion). You should definitley be able to find a house in Stockton or Tracy as Stockton has the highest foreclosure rate in the state.

Where are you moving from? California is REALLY expensive, even out in the the valley where Stockton is, which is why we are leaving and moving back to Texas.
