Personally I'd take Pismo Beach. Some good housing developments in Pismo, but a lil more money. There is Las Ventanas Del Mar and then if Spanish Springs passes there will be that housing project and I think it will pass as people want the tax revenue generation.

Pismo schools are great, the beach is nice and good for surfing, dining is great, and shopping is good too. Not to mention Pismo has great events like Taste of Pismo, St. Patty's celebration, the Clam Festival, and a huge fourth of July festival. Honestly Nipomo and Arroyo Grande are nice places to live to be close to Santa Maria or San Luis Obispo for work. But Pismo is more than a nice place to live. Harrison Ford with his beach house would agree. All though I heard rumors that Brad Pitt had a country home in Nipomo.

Where would you have a beach house in Pismo? If you had said Malibu with homes right on the beach i would agree. There are some near the airport on the sand but that is all i can think of.

Beats me, but I hear it's on the Shell Beach side. Maybe one of those big homes below Avila Ridge that are hidden away?

He was said to have planned to stay at his beach place while to attend the SLO Film Festival. If Lou Ferrigno lives in AG, then I am sure others from Hollywood must have retired here or have vacation places here.

I guess if Oprah and Steve Martin and Martha Stewart can live in the SB area and commute to work, then it's possible Avila and Pismo are close enough to be weekend get away homes.

I get shocked from the pressence of highly recognized people visiting this area.

The long sandy beaches, the dunes, the coastal hotels, and sunny weather and good surfing makes it good for people to want live and visit here. Plenty of people I know who work in SLO and Santa Maria and AG that live in Pismo too.

Also, the county doesn't have a five star resort yet, so I hear this new resort at Spanish Springs is supposed to be it. The developer touted he wanted to get Four Seasons there, but I highly doubt they'd come.

The current HOA fee in Cypress Ridge is $75.00 a month. It just went up recently after being at $71.00 a month for 10 years. Parking on driveways at night isn't allowed without a variance from the HOA board.

Thanks for the info. It is better than i thought. I think i mixed it up with Black Lake. Would you happen to know their HOA fees?

So that does makes Cypress the better buy. Can you park an RV or trailer in your side yard behind a fence?

Also if u have kids then ur kids would go to the better schools in AG. But Pismo is supposed to have the best elementary and middle school around, and you'd still get into New Tech or AG High.

All though, it is pricey to live in Pismo, but worth it.
