Arroyo Grande, Ca
I don't know much about this rural city, so I'm hoping I can get some feedback...here's what I know:
-Arroyo Grande means Great Stream
-Lake Lopez
-Mustang Water Slides
-20 minutes to Santa Maria and 20 minutes to San Luis Obispo
-Arroyo Grande High School
-Five Cities Shopping Center
-Longs Drugs Center
-*plans to build Vons Center*
-is a bedroom community full of families
-has good coastal weather
-Zac Efron is from this city
-it's one of the 7 incorporated cities of San Luis Obispo county
-one of fastest growing cities in county, has growing gang problem from Nipomo, and is getting low on tax revenue
-has land zoned for regional shopping center
-has Village Arroyo Grande in downtown
Does this city have a beach? Some one told me that there r dunes and beaches in this city, but I thought the beach and dunes were in like Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, and Oceano. Does the city have a hospital?
Thanks for the help.

1---Arroyo Grande means---Big Ditch
2---The city og Grover Beach lies between AG and the beach
3---with the exception of the land between AG and Lopez Lake, I would no longer consider AG rural

Why don't you take a 40-minute drive down the coast and see it for yourself???

LOL...you personify the sayings about north county residents... they never go below SLO and then SLO on occasion...then again, the same can be said of south county residents...
nothing against you, just think its funny when the "myth" comes to life

what myth, r u refering to when San Luis Obispo county gets our first regional open-air mall? i would be over excited, and after college I would plan to move back to SLO if the county got a mall. most of the clothing stores i like are in malls, and as a teen i like hanging out at malls for the arcades and food courts. and when i'm an adult, i think i would still be attracted to the food courts.

they "myth" (not really) that north county and south county residents never travel to the "other side" -- south to north, north to south
dalidio property needs the mall and so does SLO

Oh, so you think San Luis Obispo needs the regional mall. Not Arroyo Grande or Pismo Beach.
Well, I'm sure SLO residents would like mall in North County in Paso Robles. But Paso would get a mall in 30 years, so no mall in Paso. Atascadero could get a mall, but I think it's same reason as Paso.
SLO is the best bet for a mall right now in the Dalidio Ranch project, then I think Pismo is the best bet after that, and then third would be arroyo grande.
