It’s California, of course it doesn’t make sense. Supposedly Cal OSHA wants verification of vaccination status to be kept by the employer.

What I’m hearing from the companies I deal with is there’s no requirement what the “verification” is. Many companies are going to ask employees to simply sign something that says they’ve been vaccinated without requiring proof. Some of the companies will require everyone wear masks regardless of vaccination status because they don’t have the resources to separate everyone out, let alone possible legal ramifications.

As I said before in another thread, Walmart is an example. All employees that are vaccinated will no longer need to wear masks if they sign something that says they’ve been vaccinated. They get a $75 bonus if they provide proof. But that’s nationwide. It’s probably different in California.

They can ask for that information. Santa Clara County is requiring employers provide it. My job had a voluntary form to let them know. But either way when has something like this ever been done? There are plenty of other viruses and diseases that can spread at work.

Solution to what? Why do all of a sudden need proof of vaccination for COVID when we don't for anything else?
