Default Lancaster Ca vs Lancaster UK

Take a look at this video of Lancaster in the UK. There are many towns and cities in the USA named after it.

Are there any similarities or big differences anyone can notice?

Would be interested to hear what people have to say about the city.

They're both full of people who wished they lived in or near the coastal areas of Southern California?

Good one Charles!

OP, please read the existing threads on Lancaster if you are curious about this "out in the sticks" economy desert bedroom community of L.A.

I'll be kind and say that Lancaster is not a tourist destination. Note also that Palmdale is a neighboring community that is almost exactly the same as Lancaster, even the dividing line is blurred unless you use a map.

Desert community. Long commute to L.A. Inexpensive houses. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Don't even think of moving there unless you're a desert lover, and it's not prime desert.
