PG&E is accepting responsibility with this and Dixie fire
Most of the town is gone. So so so sad. Similar to the Paradise fire but thankfully not as many people.
Anyone know if there is a GoFundMe set up yet, or a credible charity there to send help?

My friends parents live in Lake Almanor and are now evacuated. It’s so devastating for that whole area. My next door neighbor in Idaho is working the power lines in Paradise. I guess he’s going to have to go Greenville next.

I never knew this town/area existed......looks to be a rather picturesque area.....although perhaps rather isolated......really sad to see the destruction from the fire

Yes, it looked like a cute gold rush town in a picturesque setting.
So far, thankfully, I haven’t seen any deaths, but some have already lost their homes.

From The Sacramento Bee today:

“We lost Greenville tonight,” an emotional Rep. Doug LaMalfa, whose congressional district includes Plumas County, said on Facebook late Wednesday. “My heart is aching.”

Eva Gorman, who runs a shop called Josefina Fine Knits, said in an interview: “The town is completely gone. The town has been devastated and leveled. There’s nothing left, almost nothing left of the town.” Her own business was destroyed, and many of the historical buildings appear to have been gutted.

This such a shame. California is really having a problem with drought and fires.

California has a bigger problem with PG&E and their total lack of maintenance as they accept responsibility for yet another fire.

"Accept Responsibility"= Say they're sorry on the news and then raise everyone's rates to pay for the damages they're going to get stuck with.

They need to shut down PG&E and have SMUD take over

Yes. It's that easy. And they want the responsibility. Good plan.
