Default Moving to cali?

I am just wondering if anybody can tell me how you get an apartment without a job? I am wanting to move to california but i will have to quit my job in Ak to move there and then start looking when i get to cali. I have money but do people actually rent to someone that is currently unemployed??? Thanks for your help

Most apartments I have rented in California do a credit check which is a HUGE plus and ask for your check stubs. You can always talk to them and show them your statement showing your savings so they know you can afford it.
