Were both in the USCG. He's a reservist and Im Active Duty and will have 11 years in when we transfer. He will finish his EE degree Minor ME next May but is at his internship 8 hours away from us at a power plant right now for the summer. He's even talked about applying for direct commission also. We have so many options, even myself going reserves is an option but the economy is too scary to do that in my opinion. Only 9 more years to go. I have to clarify also, I told him about the money thing for nuclear power plants and asked him if that is why he is so interested and he said no...he thinks that many more nuclear power plants are going to come online and he wants to get the experience for when that happens so he can get a supervisory job at one of them in the future.. only one of many ideas. Its quite overwhelming sometimes. Either way, I guess alot of options is better then none right! We have to figure out who follows whos career..Plus whats best for the kids, family life etc. ......
