My partner and I are looking to relocate to a small gay friendly town in Northern California. We currently live in Seattle and have had enough of this over priced, rude, and arrogent city. We want something smaller and affordable. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Well ... my hometown is smaller and affordable, but perhaps not exactly what you're looking for. Some have recommended Chico - a nearby university town which is certainly more liberal - but Chico is in Butte County, which, like most of California, also voted Yes on 8.

California is not the "gay mecca" that you may have been led to believe. Lots of normal people here who are uncomfortable with your lifestyle. You might want to try Vermont.
