Hi...
I was wondering if someone could get me the run-down on Summerland! |

I stayed in this town quite a few years ago and have a fond memory of it and was wondering what the town is actually like for i only stayed a day there. Loved hearing the ocean and thought it was funny everyone was just about barefooted.
Is this area a tourist destination or is it Santa Barbara's ghetto? (ect) |

Summerland is not SB's ghetto. It's a small unincorporated place with nothing more than a few residences, post office, fire station, a couple of eateries, t-shirt shop, convenience store and a beach park that closes at dusk. The biggest thing going on there now is the construction of a new bike path around Ortega Hill.

Sounds like a good place to me. What do the homes cost or some land in that area cost?

It's a good place, yes, but very expensive. The median home price on Santa Barbara County's south coast is $1.2 million.
