Even more the reason for a publicly funded healthcare system.

The truth is society pays the cost no matter what. We can deny funding for universal health, but we're paying in other ways -- more expensive ways. Some people end up in PRISON before they get to see a doctor. By that time they've committed crimes, cost tax payer resources in law enforcement and legal representation, and now they're so sick that curing them costs many times more than if they were able to see a doctor before their problems blossomed into a major medical expense. Just because we say "NO" to universal health doesn't mean we don't pay. We pay, big time!

Universal health is not some Socialist scheme to take more tax money from the people. It's a way to SAVE people tax money!

Default immigration is another issue

The money has to come from somewhere, and I hardly have enough to live on now.
Thanks for recognizing the valid points. Securing the borders is another issue. But even there, if we can't control who comes in, maybe we can at least know WHO is in the country and WHAT medical condition they're in. It only harms US if we bury these folks in an underclass by denying them services. Allowing them services is "PLAN B" since "plan A" -- making sure they enter legally -- isn't working. Why isn't it working?

I will GLADLY pay for an illegal immigrant to get his TB (or whatever) cured so that I don't get sick if my Federal Government can't keep this individual from entering via legal avenues. The Federal Government is failing me by letting this individual in. But that doesn't mean I can't protect myself on the State level from his/her illness, should they have one.

Maybe we could get rid of the biggest piece of government spending first -- the military. Then we could dismantle other "inept" government agencies, like police and fire protection. After that the remaining institutions of government should pretty much crumble on their own. It'll then be every man/woman for his/her self -- an anarchist's utopia!

Just because government does some things better than others is no reason to throw out the whole thing. You're the one who implied that, Cattknap, not me.

The Majority of Californians don't want to give Free Healthcare to Illegal Immigrants,so I suggest you start contacting the governor.

I've already emailed him and told him I disapprove of this idea.

You can contact him at this website.

Default We already provide it!

We provide FREE healthcare to illegals ALREADY! What I want is for the governor and our policymakers to find a CHEAPER WAY to provide it! And that's exactly what they're doing.

Get buried for free too.
I've done my gov't ENOUGH FAVORS! It's time they started using a few hundred billion of OUR tax dollars HERE instead of OVER THERE butchering & slaughering people who did NOTHING to us so we can steal their oil so that the rich & powerful can get more rich & powerful. I'm sick of having my tax dollars stolen by the military.
