Tjukken will become famous soon enoughTjukken will become famous soon enough
Hi guy's im new her.
I notised that ur discusing unusual snow. and some mention that perhaps global warming isent a realety... coz of snowing in California.

Im from Norway. and her we have the warmest winter in long time... tho still we have snow. the winters have been warmer than usual the last few years.

when its warmer it often come more snow. not less. this is coz its temp betwin 0 C and 8 C (32 F and 17.6 F) is the temp it snows best/most.

Lower temp and the snow eases.. it turns "dry" and thin.
-20 C (-4 F) it s werry rare to snow. and its usaly quiet and nice.
Tho i have experiensed snowing in -30 C (-22 F) that was not a good experience.

When i was younger. The tim when the winter was "normal". it usaly started snowing end october, - 5 C (23 F) and then it melted a bit in nowember/December. and froze and start snowing again mid december.
End december and out februar some times bit into mars the temp stady betwin - 15 C to -32 C (5 F to - 25.6 F)

but the last few years it has ben 5 - 10 C al to January. (41 F to 50 F)
And in jan its about - 5 C (23 F) this year not so much snow. just a foot or sumthing. we even got days with rain. 5 C (41 F) in Jan.. And that is werry rare... feels like summer.... (lol nope just joking)

so it is most defnitly a global warming going on.....

me hoping for more warming.. and seeing my self with a umbrella drink in my garden in januar under my palmtree....

TJ..

We had a little snow after Mother's day this year. Usually that's about the earliest it's safe to plant a garden where I am (5300' elevation). It wasn't so safe to plant at that time this year, though most of what I planted survived. I know of three different occasions where we have had fresh snow in June, and that's just in the last 15 years.

San Bernardino gets light snow at least once every year and if not evry other year, like one year yes, one year no, one year yes, one year no. And San Bernardino did get snow on Valentines day as well and also frost occors almost every day in the winter and my dogs water is frozen every morning in the winter as well, talk about a 100 mile temperature diffrence from the beach!

The San Bernardino mountains certainly get plenty of snow most winters. It is cold enough to snow each winter in the high mountains so they can make snow if we don't get any storms. But down in the San Bernardino valley it doesn't snow unless it is a freak occurrence & only in certain areas. Snow that low melts immediately.

Snowfall anywhere in SoCal is entirely limited to the mountains or high desert. Once in every 50 yrs it can snow [like in 1949] but only an inch or two & all melted by the end of the day.

Do you live in San Bernardino apperently not! All the years I have live here It has snowed, It is rare in San Gaberil , San Fernando valleys but not Inland SoCal I have pics and websites say so to we get abou half an inch of snow a year at 1000-1500 ft! It can snow in the Inland SoCal of San Bernardino foot hills, but not in LA County only in high Mnts. and 3000+ desertsof LA County
