Plumas County has been hit hard too. Problem is, there's not enough manpower available due to the other fires in more densely populated areas. We're seeing some of the state's most beautiful land burn, and the smoke is just terrible.
These firefighters are real heroes. The conditions are the worst you can imagine, but they just keep going. Incredible.

Well, the smoke is back again today, we had a couple clear days and now it is back thicker than ever. I sound hoarse from sleeping with the windows open last night. Didn't realize we were going to get hit again.
Who else has recently seen the smoke return?

Where are you calif?
I haven't been following this thread closely.
I was going to head up to Sonoma county and then continue north but if it's too smokey,
i'll reconsider. |

We had a 100+ acre fire in Tuolumne County the other day which drifted off to the north, perhaps that's what you ended up with.
