San Diego. I grew up in the Bay Area, lived in San Diego for 5 years, and now live in Sac. I am way too far away from the beaches now and all I ever think about is how I want to move back to SD. It is about as close to perfect as you can get.

No just not a place where more than half the population looks down on you if your making under 100K.

Well I guess San Diego is the place to be, hopefully when I graduate I can land a gig down there.

In SJ, "warm summer" and "surfing" are mutually exclusive because the ocean is over the hill. You won't get them both at the same time, but it's just 40 minutes apart. Plus, it's probably too expensive. I'd go with SD.
