Yes it will be there, there just will be much less water in it. I don't think it ever completely dries up, but it can be a trickle by Nov 1 when the rainy season begins.

It's possible the falls will be dried by then. Unless it's been a very wet winter they are usually dry by the end of July.

I was there right after Labor Day last year and it was dry. If this was a wetter year, maybe it'll be there...

The best time to see any of the falls is the spring. Once the snow melt is over they dry up. I remember my first trip to Yosemite. I was so excited about seeing all of the falls, but we went in July and they were all dried up.
I took these in the spring.....

I was planning a trip next summer, but now I'll have to rethink this. The darn place is booked like forever, so perhaps I will go in the Spring of 2010. lol

Yosemite is so stunning and beautiful and powerful that even when the falls aren't running strong or running at all, it's still well worth the trip.
I like to go in mid to late September. It's much less crowded and the snow has not arrived and Tioga Pass is still open and you can access the high country which shouldn't be missed.

We visited there last summer and did not have any reservations. Getting into the park is not a problem, but staying there overnight is where you will have trouble. I didn't stay in the park overnight on that visit. If you stay somewhere outside of the park, or maybe even just outside of the valley, you will have better success of finding somewhere to stay. If you're camping, there are quite a few places near the park where you should be able to find a campsite, depending on your requirements. The less choosy you are, the easier it is to find a place to stay.
