No really though...check any of hundreds of farming or rural communities in central or south eastern california. I prefer the cheapness of northern california, up near Redding...but it might not be as "cheap" as you are looking for.
Like the City of Lamont near Bakersfield? I wonder what a house there goes for?

My mistake, I guess Lamont isn't a city. It's a census-designated place (CDP). I've never heard of that?

That should tell you everything you need to know about the tiny central valley farming areas. They have a special government term for them because city, town, village or any other typical way of describing habited land is not a suitable description. Do not want.

I live in Hemet Ca. It's not cheep to ME because I'm really poor, but we live in a nice and affordable apartment down on Stetson Ave so cheap places are available. Hemet is ok, but I'd rather live in Tennessee
