I love their burgers. Always fresh, always good service. Love the simple menu although I wish they had onion rings. Just had INO yesterday as a matter of fact. Actually, many years before, we would have to drive 1 hour to get to our nearest INO and I seriously wanted to move to be closer to one. Good thing our city finally was smart enough to get one and it is always busy. INO are always full of customers no matter which one you go to. Just a great place. I hope they never lose the quality of their food like Taco Bell, KFC and other places have.

In my view as long as the original company maintains control of INO the quality should remain top notch. If they ever sell, though, things could go downhill in a hurry. So better hope that never happens.

First time was a couple of years ago in Santa Maria. I ordered off of the regular menu. Like a lot of people, I thought it was decent, but I didn't see what the big deal was about. That was until my friends told me about the "secret" menu. So I decided to give them another try, and ordered a four-by-four, "animal style". (four patties, four cheese, with the onions). That was soooo GOOD! I am now hooked and eat there every 1 or 2 weeks. The best thing about them is, I can wolf down one of those 4x4s and not have to worry about an expanding waist line at all!

I'm defintely in the minority.

I just don't care for their burgers and I especially don't like their fries.
Far too greasy for me - Yuk!

I used to live in AZ and I was visiting San Diego with a friend to go see a Chargers/Broncos game, had one after the game, loved it. Next one was in Indio for Coachella '03.

Now that I live here I can eat them whenever I want, still not sick of them

I had my first one in the early 80's. It was all right. Way too much lettuce. Didn't realize how much onion they would put on. After I ditched those two items it was ok. They've never learned how to make fries that don't taste like dirt. However, on the up side they have a pretty rockin' chocolate shake. If they weren't always so busy I'd go just to get the shake.

Default Just okay

I had my first with colleagues in Sacramento who claimed these were the best burgers ever. To me they were, as Randy Jackson says, "Just okay." Better than the McD/BK crap but I've had lots better at at least four places locally. II'm reaaly sorry we dont have Chick-Fil-A or how ever they spell it. If they opened in our mall, they'd do very well.

Never knew Whattaburger existed outside of TX...it's OK, and I would even take Sonic over WB. I do like the simplicity of the INO menu...do a few things and do them right.Don't know how long INO can stay in family hands, given the tragedies within the family ownership. Love the lingo...ever try animal style fries? I have seen them and my organs remind me to not order.

For me it was 12 years ago. And they are the greatest! I love their fries too. Nothing else anywhere close to their Burgers and fries.

The best thing about INO is that their Burgers are simple and yet very good. The fries are BOMB with Spread Sauce. Add that to a Dbl Dbl and a Large Dr.Pepper and youre straight.

Not everyone will agree but who does on this forum??
