We are in western WA too, being a SoCal native I am craving one right now..oh and those fries! I don't remember when I ate my first in n out burger, I think we were weaned on them, and I am no young chick!

We are here for about 6 months and not sure if we will stay here permanently or go back to NorCal..In n out might win that one

I'm a vegetarian. Luckily Astro Burger has an extensive veggie menu. They make a mean veggie Patty Melt.

That's funny. Its the same for us after landing from a fortnight's holiday in London. We just wish they had clotted cream.

I had my first In-n-Out burger when I was a sophomore in high school. One of my friends, his older sister and I went to see a musical at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown L.A. one weekend. When the show was over, we drove to In-n-Out in Norwalk (I think). I couldn't remember what I ordered, but it must have been a regular hamburger with fries and a soft drink. I thought it had too much lettuce, so I took about half of it out. After I had my first bite, I thought it was pretty good, especially since I was absolutely famished!

I've never tried Sonic, since there aren't any near where I live or work. But I always see their commercials on TV, some of which are pretty clever. I heard someone say that he thinks Fatburger is better than In-n-Out. I've been to Fatburger a few times, and their burgers aren't bad---but they're more expensive than In-n-Out. Their (Fatbuger;s) milkshakes, though, are to die for!

Also just how the company is ran and how much they pay their employees and treat them as well is what sets INO apart from other fast food places. I worked at INO for 2.5 years in high school and my store manager made over $120k a year back in 2001, no fast food joint pays that much. You get what you pay for and INO has the best employees of any fast food joint.
I've heard from many reliable sources that In-n-Out pays better than other fast food establishments (starting at $9.50/hour, if I remember correctly). Not only that, but they also provide medical benefits for their employees. Whenever I've gone to eat at an In-n-Out, I've noticed that the people working there are of a higher caliber than the competition.

^^ That is very true. INO employees do start out at 9.50 an hour. The great customer service is very noticeable since most other fast food chains pay minimum wage and have unhappy employees most of the time.
