Default Your first In N Out Burger...

So when did you have your first In N Out Burger?

I was 12 years old and my family was very anti fast food at the time but for some reason In N Out had sparked my Mothers curiosity. I was not born in California but I was very young when my family decided to move to San Diego. The hiuge Drive Thru lines and crowd inside intimidated my parents but "Hey" we were there and I surely didnt want to miss out on a burger.
It turned out to be one of the greatest days of my childhood! to say the least. The Burgers are just THAT good.

Today, I live alone in the city of Los Angeles and every few days after work I stop by at any In N Out in the city and watch numerous people from other States and countries try them for the first time.

I can't remember when I first went to In-N-Out Burger. I worked there for two years during my high school days. On the days that I worked, I would get a free lunch. I was eating a Double-Double at least three times a week for about 2 years. I never tired of it. That was 20 years ago. I still patronize INO.

Everyone I know that left the state and then came back (from college or whatever) insisted on a stop at In-N-Out. Although I've met those who did not like the fries, they still liked the burgers. I've only met one person who was disappointed with all of their food.

In-N-Out is also a great company to work for...at least I thought so.

Uh....1996, I think. I'd never heard of them. We flew to Las Vegas for a convention...found them hunting for a quick lunch. OMG! Awesome burgers! Now I'm hoping they'll come to the South...after all, it's only fair. We sent you Chick-Fil-A!

And thank you for that! I actually just got back from Chick-Fil-A right now, 2nd night in a row I've had it. And it's the only place besides Southern sit down restaurants that sell Sweet Tea!

My first was last year. Oddly enough, though I've been visiting California multiple times each year since 2002, it took me that long to finally have one. One of my best friends insisted. I fell in love with the burgers and the fries and now, I must have them at least once a trip. Best fast food I've ever had!

1988 I was 20 something and it was the INO on Lankershiem Blvd in North Hollywood. I'd heard about it and gave it a try....THE BEST EVER!

Around 1995, in Gilroy. We would drive from our jobs in the Silicon Valley for lunch, before In N Outs became common in the Bay Area.

No outlets here in Western WA.

maybe 12 yrs. ago or more in Kettleman City (that wide place in the road on I-5). great burgers. double double with grilled onoins. I could eat em all day. I agree about the fries, not super impressed, but iI believe they slice the fries from potatoes fresh, so they're probably better for you than the other FF places. Love In N Out, but the best fast food I've ever had was while I was travelling through the mid -west. A place called Culver's Butter Burgers and Custard. When they eventually make it out west, I think INO is gonna have some competion.
